People 4 Earth has developed this global sustainability Standard for trusted products that enables consumers, companies and NGOs to take measurable steps toward sustainable consumption and production.

The People 4 Earth Standard unites criteria that address characteristics of a product with criteria that address the manner in which a product is made.

It is built on four pillars of sustainability that fall under two broad headings: PEOPLE and EARTH. The four pillars are: PURE, FAIR, LIFE, and RENEW. Each pillar, in turn, is broken down into three principles, creating a total of 12 principles.
